Making everyday life a stage

During these difficult times we find ourselves asking whether we should wear a full face of makeup? If you are working from home on a Skype meeting, a little does go a long way. But, if you are just stepping out for essentials, do you need to put on a 10-step face? The mask gets in the way and you find that your foundation transfers and smudges everywhere. Do not even think of putting lipstick on! There is one thing you can play up even if you must wear a mask and that’s mascara! This wonderful tool dates to Ancient Egypt where the applicators were made of ivory and bone and the formula was composed of crocodile dung, water, and honey. Then in 1917, Eugene Rimmel created the first packaged cosmetic mascara. It was produced from a blend of petroleum and black coal dust. Although a cake mascara, it can still be found today. Let us jump a few thousand years forward from ancient Egypt to the 21st century. With today’s modern technology we have different brushes, bristles, sizes, and formulas to suit every eye and lash. When applied, mascara can open one’s eyes, make you look fresh and awake. It can make your eyes look flirtier and more sensuous. It’s like a magic wand and the perfect pick-me-up for any occasion.
